ENVIRONMENT: air pollution

The air pollution causes early deaths all over the world. Fine dusts, especially the particulate PM2.5, which consists of particles less than 2.5 micrometers in diameter, are the major responsible for a lot of health problems because these tiny dusts can deeply penetrate and deposit into the lungs. Main sources of air pollutions are: 1) home heating and waste disposal; 2) agriculture activities; 3) traffic. Nowadays 3.2 million of early deaths are due to air pollution and scientists estimate that this number will be doubled by 2050.
